Why is Instagram Good for Marketing?



Back in 2010 when Instagram was launched, everyone used it for editing, sharing and posting their pictures. It was a time when people were deeply involved with Facebook. But as the years passed, it changed and updated (and still keeps updating) to a much better and useful version. It’s like today Facebook is for old people, but Instagram has proved itself to be for the new generation.

There are a couple of reasons why Instagram is good for marketing, some of them are listed below:

1) Brand Visibility

There are actively 800 million Instagram users. As of June 2018’s research, Instagram has reached 1 billion monthly active users. People who want to promote their business and marketing, they do so by making their page public and being involved in comments on different and various pages that are officially recognized by Instagram.

Another trick is to find influencers and their pages, and ask them to promote your page. It may cost money most of the times, but it is totally worth it as it makes your marketing visible to everyone.

2) An easy yet effective way

Instagram is absolutely a great platform and an easy way of advertising your business.

It may take a few weeks or even months to actually get to a certain amount of followers. And because it is fun to gain followers due the process involved of creating content that is liked by all and is unique.

3) Higher interacting rates

Compared to Facebook and Twitter, Instagram is growing every day, and the users are more likely to visit and scroll down their feed more often than they do on any other social media accounts. Apparently, because of higher interacting rates, it is proving to be one of the best apps (comes at the top of the list) for promoting any type of business.

A research of Pew Research Center highlighted that Instagram had higher engagement as compared to Twitter.

59% of Instagram users visit the site at least once a day, with 35% visiting multiple times per day, while 46% of Twitter users are visiting daily with 29% visiting multiple times per day.

4) Easy to View

If you go on Instagram’s newsfeed and compare it with Facebook’s, you will find Instagram’s platform to be more user friendly. There is just something about this app that makes it more interesting, which is why people love to advertise their business there. Since it’s mainly a mobile photo sharing network, it is an easy-to-view app.

5) Visual Marketing

People love pictures that tell a story.

Although Facebook can do this job well too, Instagram has a unique way of catching your eye and making you first look at the beautifully edited and mesmerizing pictures and then lure you into tapping on the links given.
